- Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Hotel Chief Engineer to lead our facilities management and maintenance operations.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the engineering department, ensuring the seamless functioning of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel. Duties Supervise and coordinate all engineering and maintenance activities across the hotel premises, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and industrial equipment. Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance management plans utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track work orders, asset histories, and preventive schedules. Manage programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics to troubleshoot and optimize building automation systems for energy efficiency and operational reliability. Oversee facilities management tasks such as high voltage electrical systems, low voltage wiring, and industrial maintenance projects ensuring compliance with safety standards. Lead project management efforts for renovations, upgrades, or new installations—ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Supervise a team of technicians and contractors, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated workforce. Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems using tools like ohmmeters and multimeters to diagnose issues accurately. Ensure all safety protocols are followed diligently, especially concerning high voltage and electrical work, maintaining compliance with local regulations. Requirements Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance within a hospitality or manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience—familiarity with schematics, industrial equipment, HVAC systems, and building automation controls. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), CMMS software, and troubleshooting electrical circuits using tools such as ohmmeters. Knowledge of high voltage (HV) and low voltage electrical systems along with safety standards related to their operation. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in technical teams or facilities departments. Project management skills to oversee multiple initiatives from planning through execution while maintaining quality standards. Excellent communication skills in English for effective collaboration with team members, vendors, and stakeholders. Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues efficiently in complex mechanical or electrical systems.
