Chief Engineer

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering operations and ensure the seamless functioning of our facilities. This pivotal role involves overseeing maintenance activities, managing technical teams, and implementing innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing and industrial processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong management background, extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge, and proven leadership in facilities management. As a Chief Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, maintain high standards of safety and efficiency, and ensure all systems operate at peak performance. Duties Lead and supervise the maintenance team to execute routine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance across all facility systems. Oversee the operation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems to ensure optimal performance. Manage maintenance management systems (CMMS) to track work orders, asset histories, and inventory levels effectively. Supervise HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and industrial maintenance activities to maintain safe and efficient facilities. Develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with manufacturing goals while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Coordinate projects related to facilities upgrades, system installations, or process improvements with cross-functional teams. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting and ensure high voltage/low voltage systems are maintained safely. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement through leadership and training initiatives. Experience Proven management experience leading technical or maintenance teams within manufacturing or industrial environments. Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits (including high voltage and low voltage), schematics, and industrial maintenance practices. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems used in manufacturing processes. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for maintenance tracking and reporting purposes. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, facilities management principles, and safety protocols related to electrical work including the use of ohmmeters. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Supervising experience in a fast-paced environment with excellent leadership capabilities in managing diverse teams.
