Job Description
Electrical Engineer Summary:
Design and develop electrical schematics, control panels, and control hardware for plastic extrusion equipment while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.Key Responsibilities:
Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical.Ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC, and NFPA-79 standards.
Support new equipment development and legacy system upgrades.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams.
Provide technical support during assembly, testing, and equipment commissioning.
Troubleshoot electrical and panel build issues.
Maintain engineering documentation and as-built drawings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.2+ years of industrial electrical controls experience.Experience designing control systems and electrical schematics.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical (ACE) and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of electrical component sizing and calculations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of plastics processing or extrusion equipment.UL 508A MTR
Certification.Experience with Beckhoff PC-based control systems.
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, drive, and actuator systems.
