Electrical Engineer (MEP Design) | 100% Remote Design the Future of Building Systems From Anywhere We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a growing MEP consulting firm supporting projects across healthcare, education, commercial, retail, and institutional markets. Responsibilities Design electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, educational, retail, and institutional facilities. Prepare electrical construction documents, calculations, specifications, and technical reports. Develop power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power, and low-voltage system designs. Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to create and coordinate engineering drawings. Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other project stakeholders throughout all phases of design. Ensure designs comply with applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and client requirements. Support project management activities, including scheduling, coordination, and client communication. Participate in design reviews, site coordination, and technical problem-solving efforts. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in electrical design within an MEP consulting environment. Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting systems, and building electrical infrastructure. Proficiency with AutoCAD; Revit experience is highly preferred. Understanding of NEC codes and industry standards. Strong communication, organizational, and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple projects while working independently in a remote environment. Preferred Qualifications EIT or PE License. Experience designing systems for healthcare, educational, commercial, or retail facilities. Knowledge of emergency power, generators, UPS systems, and renewable energy integration. Project management and client-facing experience. Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Middletown, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $140000.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
