The Engineer - Electrification designs functional, reliable and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle high voltage electrical systems. Performs engineering analysis and electrical design or re-design, and development of electrical systems and subsystems into existing and new vehicles.
Support senior engineers in the preparation of basic plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
Under close supervision, work on projects of limited complexity in a support role.
Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
Under close supervision, design electrical parts and components to correct parameters and specifications while incorporating quality, cost reliability and ease of manufacturing.
Support senior engineers with basic and accurate calculations, analysis and investigation according to Oshkosh as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot or production builds, including resolution of problems in manufacturing.
Process engineering information through change notices, change proposals, and the creation of thorough print documentation.
Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular attendance is required.
Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol.
Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s).Power Electronics and Machines familiarity.
Energy Storage system familiarity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 2 years of electrification experience.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
5-10 years of exp, max 15 years of experience.STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol.
Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s).Power Electronics and Machines familiarity.
