Core responsibilities include creative problem solving, researching or inventing advanced geolocation algorithms, implementing them in efficient software, testing with real-world data, and deploying to front-line customer facilities. RRCs dynamic environment and diverse projects demand flexibility to learn new technologies quickly. RRC personnel can expect to work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M. What are the primary responsibilities in the Geolocation DSP Engineer position? Under general supervision, this individual will work in a small team to conceive, design, implement, analyze, test, deploy, and maintain solutions for geolocation systems. Implementation includes algorithm development, analysis, system optimization and deployment strategies. The right candidate will be expected to demonstrate dedication, discipline, integrity, and team play leading to products that are well-structured, documented, and carefully tested. What required background will make you successful? Bachelors degree in a relevant technical area such as; Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or PhysicsMinimum 5 years experience in software engineering-related disciplineExceptional applied mathematics ability Demonstrated capability in scientific programmingAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred skills: Masters degree or PhD in a relevant technical area; a minor in Applied Mathematics is helpfulStrong physics fundamentalsExceptional applied mathematics ability reflected in a background in geolocation, signal processing or communication theory and practiceExperience in system definition, development and deployment of geolocation algorithms and systems, preferably in a classified environmentFamiliarity with team coding concepts, version control, testing, and analysis of code performance Experience programming in C/C++ or Python Applicable background: GPS or other navigation systemsElectromagnetic propagationRelativityMultipath and interference mitigationSignal processing such as CAF processing and cyclostationary detectionSignal modulation types and parametersRADAR processing Mathematical techniques such as non-linear optimization and statistical analysis Positioning algorithms such as MUSIC and
