Company Description K Corp Reliance Company (KRC) is an Alaska-based engineering and inspections firm specializing in fuel systems, industrial facilities, utility infrastructure, and mission-critical facilities throughout Alaska and globally. Our team provides engineering, design, inspections, construction administration, commissioning, and owner's representative services for government, commercial, industrial, and energy-sector clients. General Functions KRC is seeking a licensed Electrical Engineer (PE) to join our growing Engineering & Inspections Department in Wasilla, Alaska. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and supporting industrial electrical systems, power distribution, lighting systems, instrumentation and controls, and industrial automation projects. This position will support projects involving fuel storage and transfer systems, industrial facilities, utilities, transportation infrastructure, and Department of Defense installations. Experience with SCADA systems, PLCs, HMI development, and fuel facility design is highly desirable. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, and project managers to develop innovative and practical engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and industry standards. Role and Responsibilities Lead electrical engineering design efforts for industrial, commercial, and government projects. Design medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems. Design interior and exterior lighting systems, lighting controls, and photometric layouts. Develop instrumentation and control (I&C) designs for industrial facilities. Prepare one-line diagrams, electrical plans, specifications, calculations, and engineering reports. Design motor control centers (MCCs), control panels, and industrial electrical systems. Support industrial controls and automation projects utilizing PLCs, HMIs, and networked control systems. Develop electrical and controls solutions for fuel storage and transfer facilities, tank farms, pumping systems, and loading/unloading facilities. Participate in field investigations, site assessments, startup support, and commissioning activities. Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings during construction. Coordinate electrical designs with civil, structural, mechanical, controls, and inspection personnel. Serve as a technical resource for clients and project teams. Support proposal development, project planning, and business development efforts. Travel periodically to project sites throughout Alaska and other locations as required.

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Ability to obtain Alaska PE registration if not currently licensed in Alaska. Minimum 5 years of relevant electrical engineering experience. Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and applicable industry standards. Experience with industrial electrical design and construction support. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and electrical design software. Strong technical writing, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience. Experience supporting Department of Defense, federal, utility, or industrial clients. Experience with SCADA systems, industrial automation, and controls integration. Experience with fuel storage and transfer facilities. Familiarity with ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, Revit, or similar electrical analysis software. Experience providing engineering support during construction and commissioning. Why Join KRC?
