Job Description
Project Engineer II Location:
Jackson, MI (Hybrid)Contract:
12 monthsSchedule:
40Hours Pay:
$43-45/hour, DOE Project Engineer II |Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering degree from an ABET accredited program OR Engineering degree from a non-ABET accredited program plus a Professional Engineering license (Required) 5 - 7 years Experience in a project engineer capacity (Required) Experience serving as a program/project engineer on complex projects (5 years minimum) Experience coordinating internal and external engineering disciplines. Knowledge of Project Management Information Systems such as Unifier and Document Control tools such as Project Wise is not a requirement but a plus. Knowledge of Project Management principles and skills is a plus. An Electrical Engineering background is preferred, but not required. Understanding and experience in contract management Experience in the management of engineering contracts and engineering deliverables. Analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards Background and experience in Electric Distribution projects is preferred, though not an absolute requirement Understanding and experience in contract management Experience in the management of engineering contracts and engineering deliverables. Project Engineer II |Responsibilities:
Build strong partnerships with business partners and deeply understand their business goals Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. Assign responsibilities and mentor project team Provide assistance and technical support to project managers and other project participants Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions. Review the engineering tasks and initiate the necessary corrective actions Support the Agile project delivery cadence by helping balance team performance with tight deadlines.
