Job Description

Senior Electrical EngineerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electronic hardware design efforts for wearable medical device products. The role will focus on PCB design using Altium, schematic capture, mixed-signal and analog circuit design, and bringing hardware from prototype to verified product.

Come join a small, scrappy team that is building revolutionary medical device products. This is a hyrbid role in Emeryville (onsite Tue-Thurs).Key ResponsibilitiesLead end-to-end PCB design using Altium, including schematic capture, layout, and signal integrity considerations.

Develop and maintain BOMs, part selection, and procurement-ready documentation.

Perform hardware bring-up, debug prototypes, and drive design verification and validation activities.

Design mixed-signal and analog circuits, applying best practices for power, analog front-ends, and signal conditioning.

Implement and review high-speed digital interfaces (UART, SPI) and low-power wireless integrations (BLE).Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to integrate electronics into products.

Support regulatory and manufacturability reviews, DFM/DFT, and design transfer to contract manufacturers.

QualificationsBachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.5+ years of experience in electronic hardware design with demonstrable PCB design experience using Altium. (Required)Strong experience with PCB layout, schematic capture, and BOM development. (Required)Proven experience in hardware bring-up, lab debug, and design verification activities.

Solid understanding of analog and mixed-signal circuit design; experience with power management and signal integrity.

Familiarity with RF fundamentals and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) integration.

Experience designing for medical devices or strict regulatory environments is highly desirable.

Experience in consumer electronics, wearables, or robotics hardware development.

Hands-on experience with communication interfaces such as UART and SPI.Practical knowledge of production test, DFM, and working with contract manufacturers.

Proficiency in C for basic embedded debugging is a plus.

Strong problem-solving, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills.
