Senior Electrical Engineer Job DescriptionInsight Global is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer in Germantown, MD, to join a highly specialized MEP team with deep expertise in complex healthcare, research, laboratory, federal, and secure facility work. This is an opportunity to do work that matters by supporting mission-critical environments tied to national security, scientific discovery, healthcare, and public service.

Responsibilities Include
  • Lead the analysis and design of electrical systems, including detailed designs, specifications, and calculations in accordance with code requirements and IMEG standards
  • Perform site assessments and prepare detailed analysis and technical reports
  • Collaborate with clients to understand project needs, gather requirements, and communicate technical information clearly
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and responsive service
  • Provide in-process reviews of electrical designs, calculations, specifications, and project correspondence
  • IMEG quality control processes to help ensure designs meet IMEG standards, industry standards, and client requirements
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff
  • Provide technical assistance in resolving field issues with limited support from senior staff
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and electrical engineering best practices, and contribute to research and innovation efforts within IMEG
  • Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work and help identify and mitigate potential risks associated with electrical systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that support project goals
  • Participate in project interviews and presentationsThis position is hybrid onsite in Germantown, MD (3 days in-office, 2 days work-from-home capability).
The base salary range for this position is 105,000-170,000 annually along with an annual bonus opportunity and ESOP. Relocation assistance is available to candidates located outside of the local area.

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, required (ABET Accredited
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License required
  • 7-12+ years of related electrical engineering experience, in the building design consulting/MEP Engineering industry
  • Proficiency in principles of circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems
  • Proficiency of Master Specification editing and software (such as eSPECS
  • Client-facing experience
  • Ability to train, mentor, and lead junior engineers and designers
  • Proficient with Adobe or Bluebeam Revu
  • Active Security Clearance
