Rincon Research Corporation seeks a DSP Engineer to create cutting edge solutions to challenging national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. You will work in a multi-disciplinary R D environment with similarly skilled and motivated electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers in a highly rewarding personal and professional environment. Come join the team that is creating cutting edge signal processing, geolocation, and communication systems for the future! What are the primary responsibilities in the Sr. DSP Engineer position? Core responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of digital signal processing systems for communication signals, radar signals, and other applications. This includes developing, deploying, maintaining, and testing software-based solutions. System development can include algorithm design, data analysis, hardware control, computational optimization, RF system modeling, field testing, error budget analysis, operational performance analysis, writing efficient software, testing with real data, and providing applications to front-line customer facilities. A key responsibility is staying up-to-date with the signal processing technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects. RRC personnel can expect to work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M, and experience the direct mission feedback from the customer and seeing your project provide real-world contributions that make a significant difference. Youre encouraged and expected to propose things that you believe will improve the applications and frameworks youre working in. The ability to work unsupervised with minimal direction and the ability to self-start is a must. What required background will make you successful? Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or other equivalent fieldAt least 15 years' experience in a signal processing engineering-related disciplineSubject matter expert in DSP, including deep knowledge of DSP theory and a track record of successful system development Experience as a project technical lead and/or principle investigatorExperience mentoring other engineers and providing technical advice to program managementProficient in C++ and/or Python in LINUX environmentsAbility to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance

Preferred background: Cellular communications, satellite communications, modern modulation schemes, cyclostationary techniquesGeolocation, radar signal processing, RF propagation and link budgets, RF system designDevOps and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP)Experience as technical lead on proposal efforts Current TS/SCI clearance Where is the position located?
