Sr. Instrumentation & Controls Engineer Deerfield Beach, FL Sr. Instrumentation & Controls Engineer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Deerfield Beach, FL): Supervise process control strategy planning, design engineering, automation designs, construction support services and planning. Perform research with detailed analyses and prepare Instrumentation & Controls designs for water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations. Supervise development of P&IDs, I/O lists, Instrument lists, and instrument datasheets. Assist with equipment selections, equipment and communication network layouts, and process control design coordination with other engineering disciplines. Support core aspects of PLC, HMI and SCADA system planning, design, programming, and upgrade. Prepare conceptual reports, technical memorandums, field test reports, progress reports, and daily inspection reports. Conduct construction site inspections and creating punch lists. Develop responses and engineered solutions to Contractor's Requests for Information. 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.). #LI-DNI #
GTM Bonus:
Individuals in this position may be paid a discretionary bonus.
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field, and 10 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 10 years of experience with the following: Performing control system engineering design projects and studies for water and wastewater treatment plants, field reviews, and evaluation of existing instrumentation, control systems and control panels; Leading design and development for construction documents including drawings, P&IDs, loops, control panel layouts installation details conduit and cable schedules, technical specifications, schedules, and control strategies; Reviewing and evaluating electrical schematic diagrams, mechanical specifications with controls content, and process flow diagrams and design criteria; Coordinating I&C deliverables with process, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines; Reviewing instrument datasheets, contractor and equipment supplier submittals, contractor's shop drawings and submittals related to electrical and I&C work; PLC and SCADA programming; and Guiding Instrumentation and Controls designers regarding control system projects. Must have an active U.S. Professional Engineer license. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week. Travel to various locations throughout the US required up to 20%. Travel to various international locations required up to 5%. Pay Transparency:
In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
