- Systems Engineering & Modular Design to lead and shape the development of scalable, robust, and high-performing product architectures.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and guiding systems-level thinking across the organization and establishing modular design strategies that enable product flexibility, cost efficiency, and faster time-to-market. This position requires deep technical expertise in systems engineering principles, system architecture, and modularization, along with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive complex product development initiatives from concept to launch. Location:
Hybrid, Plymouth, MN What you will do: Systems Engineering Lead the end-to-end systems engineering process across the product lifecycle, from requirements definition through validation Define and manage system architecture, interfaces, and performance trade-offs Develop and maintain system-level documentation including functional decompositions, requirement matrices, and architecture models Facilitate systems integration and technical risk management across multi-disciplinary teams Modular Design Leadership Champion modular design and platform strategies to maximize design reuse and reduce complexity Develop and maintain modular architectures and product platforms that support multiple variants and configurations Define interface standards, common subsystems, and key design rules to ensure compatibility across product lines Technical Leadership & Collaboration Serve as the technical authority and advisor for cross-functional teams on systems and modular design topics Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure designs meet business, customer, and lifecycle needs Conduct architecture reviews and ensure engineering teams adhere to best practices in system and modular design Innovation & Continuous Improvement Drive innovation in system design methodologies, tools, and processes Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and maintainability of complex systems Mentor junior engineers and promote systems thinking across the organization What's in it for you: The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth The support of an organization that believes it is vital to include and engage diverse people, perspectives, and ideas to achieve our best
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline 10+ years of experience in product development with significant focus on systems engineering and/or modular product architecture Proven experience leading system architecture for complex electromechanical or software-intensive products Strong understanding of systems engineering tools and standards (e.g., SysML, MBSE, requirements management tools) Deep knowledge of modular product design, interface management, and configuration control Excellent problem-solving, technical communication, and leadership skills
Preferred Qualifications:
INCOSE CSEP/ASEP
certification or equivalent systems engineering credentials Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) frameworks Experience in industries such as aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or industrial equipment Familiarity with PLM systems and design configuration management practices

- $188,700 (plus 15% bonus) in Minnesota.
The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls.
