Job Description SummaryGlobal Design Leader - Plant Controls is responsible for leading extended scope controls engineering projects through kick-off, hardware design, software development, commissioning to commercial plant operation. The GDL will support the requisition, design, structuring, validation and commissioning control systems for GT, Bottoming Cycle (HRSG & ST) and Balance of Plant (BOP). This role, in addition to closely collaborating with our internal & external customers, is critical in driving a team culture of technical system & domain depth, contemporary leadership, on-time quality execution and a customer-focused mindset.

Job DescriptionThe GDL will be responsible for multiple projects/programs with the overall goal to make the project successful. The GDL will compile the project level controls strategy, document requirements, lead the design and implementation of controls system projects, covering GT, Bottoming Cycle (HRSG & ST) and Balance of Plant (BOP). In addition, the GDL will:

Be an empowered project level decision makerOwn projects from ITO-COD for high risk complex projects as defined by internal risk reviewSupport ITO/ Proposal effortsWork and Lead in an Agile software methodologySupport and influence product requirements definitionLead globally and be accountable for overall Control System Requirements definition and managementDrive overall Architecture, top level design, verification, validation and commissioning requirementsEnsure adequate system function, performance, interface, reliability, maintainability and safety requirements, goals and margins are defined and managedSupport & influence comprehensive test plans for system verification and validation, new article and customer system Software Acceptance Tests (SwATs), site pre-operation, startup and commissioningCoordinate flow down of internal and external customer requirements/ tasksPartner with Project Managers to establish Projects Baseline Master Schedule and Cost Roll-upsLead and promote customer discussions/reviews for an improved controls solution and customer experience and expectationsDrive consistent solutions across all controls (GT, ST, HRSG, BOP, Electrical)Demonstrate System Level thinkingLead fulfillment teams with an inclusive adaptable style - able to quickly learn diverse and varying organizational interfaces with professional astuteness and agilityCollaborate with and maintain close, responsive, and productive working relationships with internal GE groups as well as with external customers.

Be accountable for Controls cost and schedule targets working with functional managersProvide clear communication to the team and the business leadersRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering from an accredited college or university10 years work experience in the combined cycle power plant industry, controls Desired CharacteristicsExperience in design & application of GE power generation controls, electrical, or accessory systemsExperience in power generation requisition, working with customers, project mgt. or EPCsSystem integration experienceProven oral and written communication and presentation skills to the team and business leadersGas Turbine, Steam Turbine and/or Plant controls knowledge / experienceDemonstrated ability to independently drive projects to completionDemonstrated Technical writing expertiseDemonstrated experience in working successfully in technical leadership of a diverse teamAdditional InformationGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. Relocation Assistance Provided:
NoFor candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility:
discretionary annual bonus.
