Electrical Engineering Associate I CEMS Engineering, Inc. United States, South Carolina, Summerville 108 Bentons Lodge Rd (Show on map) Sep 30, 2026 CEMS Engineering, Inc. is searching for an Electrical Engineering Graduate with strong technical abilities, who expresses an interest in Building Sciences; specifically, Design of Interior Power Distribution, Interior/Exterior Lighting, Utility Power Distribution, Motors, Transformers, and Telecommunications. This position is located at our Summerville, SC office. Candidates should have a sound technical foundation and strong verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate's responsibilities may include: Assist senior engineers with routine design.

Prepare Electrical plans and specifications.

Review calculations and drawings.

Handle other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

BS in Electrical Engineering

Successfully completed coursework addressing Basic Circuits.

Must be able to coordinate with other engineering teams/disciplines within the firm.

Ability to work independently in a team environment and effectively manage time.

Must be able to work and effectively coordinate with staff in multiple office locations.

Effective time-management, written communication skills, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, decision making capabilities, problem resolution skills, and a sense of initiative are important for this internship.

Ability to work in a team environment is required.

Strong problem-solving skills required.

Must be a

US Citizen Desired Qualifications:

Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT) Registration.
