Job Description

Job Title:
Controls Engineer Job Description We are seeking an Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team and work on turn-key projects primarily within the automotive industry. The ideal candidate will have 2-3+ years of experience in either PLC Programming or Electrical Design to ensure the timely completion of projects. This role requires flexibility, as the candidate will transition between programming and design tasks. Responsibilities Work on turn-key projects for the automotive industry. Engage in both PLC Programming and Electrical Design tasks. Ensure projects are completed on time. Collaborate with a team to bring automation solutions to facilities. Participate in all phases of the product life cycle. Handle projects ranging from small programming tasks to extensive programming and electrical design work. Essential Skills PLC programming (Allen-Bradley or Omron). 5+ years of Controls Engineering experience in programming, troubleshooting, and design. Experience with controls design. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Experience with SCADA and Ignition. Proficiency in Electrical Design Software, such as AutoCAD Electric. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the automotive industry is a plus. 5+ years of experience with control systems design, including PLCs, HMIs, and motor control. Experience in quoting future projects where Ignition or SCADA could be useful. Work Environment The position requires limited travel, currently at 10% within a 1.5-hour radius, with potential for more travel as business expands. The facility is a temperature-controlled build shop where the candidate will start for the first 1-2 months to learn the equipment. Following this period, the role will transition into a desk role focused on programming and design.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
