Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Reliability Engineer to drive improvements in equipment reliability and operational efficiency. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in electrical and instrumentation systems to identify root causes of failures, implement preventative measures, and optimize maintenance strategies. Your work will directly impact the performance and reliability of critical production processes. Responsibilities Provide technical support for troubleshooting, failure analysis, and repair recommendations for electrical and instrumentation equipment. Serve as a subject matter expert for the development and review of maintenance procedures and training programs. Spearhead initiatives to enhance safety, quality, and environmental performance through management of change processes. Contribute to the development and implementation of reliability programs, ensuring equipment integrity and performance. Offer expertise in instruments, analyzers, basic electric systems, motors, and burner systems, ensuring their reliable operation. Lead root cause failure analysis teams and problem-solving sessions to address equipment issues and prevent recurrence. Evaluate vendor proposals and designs, providing insights on functionality, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with reliability engineers and technicians to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the site. Qualifications Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proficiency in at least two of the following areas: instrumentation, analyzers, basic electric systems (up to 480V), motors, starters, VFDs, and control valves. Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical problems using data-driven decision-making. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences. Preferred Skills Experience in operations troubleshooting activities. Solid background in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) methodologies. Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) principles. Knowledge of industry standards such as NEC and ISA. Experience with PLC systems and Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
