Job Description

Here's The Role LCRA's NERC compliance group is seeking an electrical engineer to join our team. Your expertise will contribute to keeping our generation facilities in line with national and state requirements by using your knowledge of electrical system modeling such as ETAP and Matlab to perform load flow and Arc Flash Calculations. If you have a firm foundation in protective relay settings to provide support to plants and manage compliance testing such as reactive or AVR/PSS, we want you to apply. How You'll Contribute Work with the NERC Compliance Department and Information Security Office to ensure that the necessary processes and procedures applicable to each
NERC CIP
system are developed and implemented within their respective group. Review projects relating to the
NERC CIP
systems which may have a regulatory impact, and make sure the drawings and documents for that system are updated and stored. Coordinate NERC compliance implementation, communication, and ensure that users of the respective systems have the necessary training. Monitor implementation efforts and report potential violations to the NERC Compliance Manager and respective management. Communicate with the Information Security Manager regarding cyber security concerns or actual incidents. Maintain documentation of objective evidence to demonstrate
NERC CIP
regulatory compliance. How You're Qualified Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science. Four or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job. Driver's license How You'll Stand Out Experience using ETAP and PSSE software. Experience with Protective Relay systems. Knowledge of ERCOT protocols, Nodal Operating Guides and NERC Standards is a plus. Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA, NEC, NESC, and other applicable industry standards.
