Job Description
At NOV, we power the world's energy industry by delivering reliable, easy-to-use equipment and systems. Within our M/D Totco Surface Engineering team, Electrical Engineers play a vital role in developing advanced measurement devices, data acquisition, and control systems that enable our customers to enhance operational efficiency. This position offers a dynamic environment focused on innovation, professional growth, and teamwork. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to take ideas from concept through production and support throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Product Development:
Design, simulate, and test analog and digital circuitsPCB Design:
Create PCB layouts using Altium (or similar software) and validate designs through laboratory testing.Firmware & Embedded Systems:
Write, test, and debug firmware for embedded control and data acquisition systems.Field Testing:
Participate in design validation and testing at field test locations.Project Support:
Collaborate with project managers to plan tasks, estimate timelines, and document technical work.Sustaining Engineering:
Provide ongoing support for industrial sensors, gas detection, and control systems.Compliance:
Ensure designs meet Hazardous locations, EMC, and other safety and regulatory standards.Innovation:
Research and evaluate emerging technologiesQualifications and Competencies Required:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Demonstrated ability in analog and digital circuit design. Experience with PCB layout tools such as Altium Designer. Hands-on experience using measurement equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers). Strong problem-solving and team collaboration skills. Excellent time management and communication abilities.Preferred:
Experience with firmware development and real-time programming (C/C++, embedded systems). Knowledge of sensor technologies and signal conditioning. Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) systems and JIRA. Experience designing electronics to meet UL, EMC, and other industry standards.
