Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc. (JLL) seeks an Assistant Chief Engineer, Data Centers to support mission-critical building operations across a high-availability portfolio. You will assist in leading daily engineering activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems; monitoring BMS and critical power infrastructure; and responding to incidents to ensure 24/7 uptime. Working closely with the Chief Engineer, you'll help coordinate vendors, oversee work permits, support capital projects, track compliance, and maintain documentation while promoting safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement in a client-focused environment. Responsibilities Support daily operations of data center mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems Perform and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure uptime Monitor BMS, critical power, and environmental conditions for anomalies Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis Coordinate and oversee vendors, contractors, and service providers Support planning and execution of capital projects and equipment upgrades Maintain documentation, work orders, logs, and compliance records Help enforce safety procedures, permits, and regulatory requirements Collaborate with client and JLL teams to meet SLAs and performance targets Identify opportunities for energy efficiency, reliability, and process improvement Required Skills Data center infrastructure operations HVAC systems maintenance Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting Building Management Systems (BMS) Critical power systems (UPS, generators, switchgear) Preventive maintenance planning and execution Vendor and contractor coordination Work order and CMMS software Incident response and root cause analysis Regulatory and safety compliance
