$90-140k DOE Position Overview The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and implementing control systems that meet project specifications and safety standards. This role involves working with various automation technologies to enhance productivity and efficiency in operations. Key Responsibilities Design and develop control systems using PLC and HMI technologies. Program and troubleshoot PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms. Create and review electrical schematics using AutoCAD Electrical and Solidworks Electrical. Ensure compliance with NEC and UL standards in all control system designs. Conduct panel design and layout planning for electrical control systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control systems into existing processes. Perform testing and validation of control systems before deployment to ensure functionality and reliability. Qualifications 3+ years of controls and automation experience with programming and design. Controls engineering and design with SolidWorks or AutoCAD Electrical. Experience with Modbus communication protocols and industrial automation. Proficiency in PLC programming, specifically for Allen Bradley and Siemens. Familiarity with HMI design and implementation. Knowledge of NEC and UL standards as they relate to electrical systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
