Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join our Fort Worth team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys challenging projects, client interaction, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to a fast-paced consulting environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare electrical production drawings from concept through completion Perform redline drafting, specification editing, and drawing coordination Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP for electrical system design Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct PCR reviews Conduct site visits and construction reviews Design electrical systems including: Power distribution systems General and specialty lighting systems Daylighting and lighting control systems Emergency power systems, generators, and UPS systems Fire alarm, public address, and sound reinforcement systems Coordinate with mechanical, plumbing, and architectural disciplines Attend client meetings and provide technical support throughout projects Supervise, mentor, and support junior engineering staff Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Project Types Projects include: K-12 and
Higher Education Facilities Municipal Buildings Worship Facilities Medical Facilities Data Centers Office and Warehouse Facilities Long-Term Care Facilities Food Service and Retail Projects Commercial Buildings Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering Minimum 8 years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial buildings EIT certification required Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes and jurisdictional requirements Proficiency with: AutoCAD Revit MEP Microsoft Office products COMcheck SKM electrical analysis software Visual photometric design software Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
Texas P.E. license Familiarity with plumbing and mechanical systems Structured cabling design experience
