Job Description

Description Actalent is seeking a Healthcare Electrical Engineer to support a growing organization focused on innovative healthcare facility renovations. This individual will play a key role in designing and delivering electrical systems for complex healthcare environments, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Responsibilities Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, and low-voltage systems Ensure compliance with
NEC, NFPA 70, NFPA
99, and Joint Commission standards Coordinate integration of medical and diagnostic equipment into electrical designs Manage projects from concept through construction, including scope, schedule, and budget Oversee contractors and support installation, testing, and commissioning activities Develop energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions Produce and maintain detailed schematics, drawings, and documentation Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, MEP teams, and healthcare stakeholders Support design and implementation of backup power and critical systems (UPS, emergency systems) Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 5+ years of electrical engineering experience (healthcare project experience preferred) Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools Strong knowledge of electrical codes and healthcare regulations Experience with healthcare systems (e.g., nurse call, fire alarms, medical equipment integration) Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience with hospital construction or renovation projects Familiarity with BIM, facility systems, and infection control protocols Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $43.26 - $84.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
