Job Description
Role purpose
Design scalable OpenUSD asset, layer, variant, reference, payload, and composition patterns for
complex industrial digital twins and simulation environments.
Key responsibilities
- Define USD stage architecture, naming, units, coordinates, metadata, variants, payloads,
references, and override patterns. - Build conversion and publishing pipelines for industrial 3D assets and simulation-ready scenes.
- Optimize stage loading, composition, instancing, asset reuse, and collaboration.
- Develop validation tooling and enforce asset-quality standards.
Integrate USD assets with Omniverse, Nucleus, simulation, rendering, and scenario systems.
Required experience and skills- Production OpenUSD development and composition expertise.
- Strong Python and USD API skills.
- Experience with large, multi-contributor 3D scenes and asset pipelines.
Preferred experience
NVIDIA Omniverse/Nucleus, Material
X/MDL, JT/E57/CAD
conversion, geospatial alignment, CI for
3D assets, or C++.
Salary Range:
$90,000 - $150,000 per year
