Our Core Values guide everything we do: Every Person Matters | Together We Can Do Great Things | This Is More Than a Job Position Overview Under the general direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Electrical Superintendent plans, organizes, and directs all activities of the plant's electricians, and I&E Specialists. The Electrical Superintendent plays a key role in the plant's emergency management and disaster recovery plans and liaisons with the District's Engineering Department and others in planning and executing ongoing facilities maintenance and capital improvement projects. The Electrical Superintendent develops and administers departmental budgets, policies, and other administrative duties as needed. The Electrical Superintendent handles maintenance, repair, and capital improvement programs for a broad array of electrical, communications, security, and water/wastewater systems infrastructure. What You'll Do Schedules, assigns and supervises, through subordinate supervisory personnel, all activities of Electrical Department team. Reviews work requests, decides cost and staffing requirements, sets priorities, and assigns work to be performed in cooperation with the electrical supervisors. Inspects completed work to ensure that applicable plant electrical standards are kept. Coordinates department activities with other departments and divisions as needed. Monitors performance of the electrical team personnel and conducts performance management as needed. Oversee departmental training program development and administration and ensures compliance with regulatory training requirements. Develops and administers departmental disciplinary actions, implements best electrical maintenance best practices, Requires and coaches' safety performance and compliance from the team as leading by example. Aids in the analysis and preparation of annual operating and capital budgets for assigned department. Monitors budget expenditures and show and implement cost control strategies to ensure consistent budget performance. Maintains records and develops detailed technical reports for various internal customers and external regulatory agencies. Interact with industry suppliers, manufacturers, testing labs, and other industry experts to decide most effective materials and methods for repairs and improvements. Responsible for completing area audits. Maintains work area and equipment in a safe and clean condition at all times. Responsible for abiding by and support all company and plant safety policies, rules and procedures as well as M.S.H.A regulations.

As an essential function of the job, good attendance is required. What You'll Bring Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in a related field or completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in electrical or instrumentation maintenance preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in electrical or instrumentation maintenance in an industrial setting required. Previous supervisory experience in a non-unionized environment required. PLC programming experience preferred. Experience working with instrumentation systems in a cement or heavy industrial environment preferred. Required Skills and Abilities Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems maintenance and repair principles. Familiarity with MSHA safety rules and safe work practices in a cement or heavy industrial environment. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams. Ability to troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electrical and instrumentation systems. Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues. Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with supervisors, peers, and direct reports. Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work under pressure and respond to equipment issues in a timely manner. Ability to work independently and demonstrate self-motivation. Ability to support a culture of safety and follow all company safety policies and procedures. Willingness to work on a standby or on-call basis as required. Other Qualifications Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations related to occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance. Understanding of labor relations principles and general administrative practices. Ability to lead and support employees through coaching, performance management, and team development. Ability to contribute to and support a strong safety culture within the department. Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies, and procedures.
