Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical) Job Description We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer responsible for designing, optimizing, and overseeing manufacturing processes for electrical and electronic components, wiring harnesses, and integrated systems. This role involves developing, drafting, reviewing, and contributing to manufacturing and assembly procedures, as well as inspecting hardware, tests, and related equipment. The engineer will drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing optimized manufacturing processes, supporting the incorporation of Engineering Changes (ECs), and executing performance and functional testing. The position requires handling hazardous materials and working with pressurized gas and purified water systems. Collaboration with customers, technicians, engineers, logistics teams, and bond room personnel is essential for supporting day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Create and update work instructions that meet assembly drawings, process specifications, and required certifications. Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical/electronic systems to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards. Review plans, inspect fabrications, conduct investigations, and provide recommendations to assure compliance with aerospace established requirements, regulations, guidelines, and procedures. Generate manufacturing bill of materials upon release of engineering drawings. Work closely with the Production Planning team to ensure production cycle milestones are met from product design through assembly and installation. Act as the primary interface between Design Engineering and Production to ensure Design for Excellence (DfX) principles are integrated, reducing Cost of Non-Conformance (CONC). Essential Skills 7+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering Experience with GD&T Strong technical writing skills and experience authoring work instructions Proficiency in
SOLIDWORKS 3D/PDM
modeling software or similar CAD tools Experience in driving producibility (DfX), conducting design reviews, and managing configuration control processes Lean manufacturing experience Additional Skills & Qualifications Project management experience Process improvement and engineering skills Experience in validation and work instruction Work Environment The work environment is generally a lab setting but can involve both indoor and outdoor work depending on the task. Candidates will have the opportunity for hands-on experience and may transition to a direct employee role after 12 months. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Webster, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
