Electrical Design Engineer responsible for designing power distribution equipment and supporting products from initial quote through manufacturing, testing, and customer implementation. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Mechanical Engineering. 3+ years of electrical design engineering experience with power distribution equipment, switchgear, switchboards, or motor control centers. Experience designing and interpreting electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. Knowledge of UL, ANSI, IEEE, and NEMA standards. Experience supporting products through design, manufacturing, testing, and customer implementation. Ability to travel and perform field work as required. Preferred Skills Experience with medium-voltage or low-voltage power distribution equipment. Experience with ERP systems. Experience developing and maintaining bills of materials. Experience supporting cost reduction initiatives. Experience with continuous improvement projects. Job Responsibilities Participate in technical quote reviews for electrical power distribution products. Support order development and engineering requirements. Develop electrical product designs based on project and customer specifications. Create and review electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. Develop, review, and maintain bills of materials. Review and approve engineering drawings and design documentation. Support manufacturing throughout the production process. Support product testing and resolution of engineering issues. Provide engineering support during customer implementation and field activities. Support products throughout the full design and manufacturing lifecycle. Identify opportunities for product cost reduction and design improvement.
Pay:
