Akkodis is seeking a Principal Electrical Design Engineer for a Contract with a client in Prince George, VA. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of complex embedded hardware and electrical systems, providing technical leadership throughout the product development lifecycle.

Rate Range:

$90/Hour to $109/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Principal Electrical Design Engineer Responsibilities include: Lead the design, development, and validation of complex embedded hardware and electrical systems for innovative product applications. Define system architecture, establish technical requirements, and guide engineering teams through the full product development lifecycle. Oversee PCB design, component selection, and design analysis to ensure performance, reliability, and regulatory compliance. Drive resolution of complex technical challenges, evaluate design trade-offs, and implement innovative engineering solutions. Collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to communicate technical requirements, project risks, and development progress. Mentor and coach engineers, lead design reviews, and promote engineering best practices across the organization.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering (BSEE/MSEE/PhD) or equivalent experience. 12+ years of experience in embedded hardware design and electrical engineering product development. Strong expertise in system architecture, PCB design, hardware validation, and multiple EE disciplines including power, analog, digital, and RF design.
