South Boston, VA Onsite with Relocation Assistance Summary Help power the future of North America as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer with our client. You'll join a highly specialized team focused on large power transformer design delivering innovative, reliable solutions that meet evolving market needs. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact engineering challenges while collaborating with experienced professionals across different disciplines. From concept development to customer delivery, your work will directly influence performance, quality, and customer satisfaction. You will also have the chance to lead initiatives, contribute to design strategy, and drive continuous improvement. You will be empowered to deepen your technical expertise, explore advanced design tools and simulations, and build meaningful relationships with both internal teams and customers. Your Background Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. 5-8 years of experience in electrical design within the Transformer industry. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently when needed. Experience with AutoCAD and/or 3D design tools such as Creo preferred. Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of electrical engineering principles. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and engineering documentation. Daily Life Design, analyze, and evaluate complex electrical systems and transformer components. Develop detailed manufacturing drawings, customer documentation, and bills of materials. Create advanced models and simulations to solve engineering challenges. Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous product improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with market and sales strategies. Lead or support technical investigations and implement effective engineering solutions. Engage with customers to resolve technical issues and strengthen relationships. Prepare specifications, proposals, and technical reports while supporting approvals. Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
