Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our facilities maintenance and engineering operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the management, repair, and optimization of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems across our facilities. Duties Lead and supervise facilities maintenance teams, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency in all operations. Oversee the inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems including HVAC units, electrical systems (high voltage and low voltage), plumbing systems, and other critical infrastructure. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to optimize equipment uptime. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades or repairs by coordinating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams using project management best practices. Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation of safety procedures, inspections, and incident reports. Review schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to diagnose issues effectively using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other troubleshooting equipment. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, work orders, inventory levels, and repair procedures to support operational transparency and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven management experience supervising facilities maintenance or engineering teams in an industrial or large-scale environment. Extensive mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC system repair, electrical systems (including high voltage), plumbing maintenance, and general mechanical systems repair. Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations along with experience implementing safety protocols across teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and documentation purposes; familiarity with CMMS software is highly desirable. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Technical expertise in troubleshooting engineering issues using schematics, electrical testing tools (voltmeters, ohmmeters), and diagnostic procedures. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams while managing facilities maintenance operations effectively. Fluency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
