Knowledge of electrical hardware testing and qualification methods. Experience debugging electrical systems at the board and system level. Experience designing and validating power systems ranging from approximately 10W to 3000W. Knowledge of applicable military electrical and environmental standards, including MIL-STD-1275, MIL-STD-810, and

Job Responsibilities Lead electrical system and subsystem development from concept through production. Develop electrical designs that meet applicable safety, EMC, and reliability requirements. Define electrical specifications for sensors, radios, power distribution systems, and control electronics. Design and review detailed schematics for mixed-signal and high-speed FPGA-based circuit boards. Perform or support PCB layout activities. Develop custom DC/DC power circuits supporting power levels from approximately 10W to 1000W. Develop high-power AC/DC power supplies ranging from approximately 500W to 3000W with power factor correction. Design power electronics for varying input conditions and demanding operating environments. Perform hardware bring-up, debugging, characterization, and system integration. Validate custom and COTS electrical components using laboratory instrumentation. Perform signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal analyses. Produce and evaluate high-fidelity electrical prototypes. Develop electrical test plans and execute verification and validation activities. Support electrical system qualification and compliance testing. Maintain electrical design specifications, bills of materials, firmware release records, test reports, and compliance documentation.
