Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to support a leading engineering and systems integration organization. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design, fabrication, installation, and commissioning of fire detection and alarm, mass notification, fire suppression, and other life safety systems. This is a great opportunity in the McLean, VA area, as well as positions in Atlanta, GA and Raleigh, NC . Responsibilities for the
Electrical Engineer:
Lead in-house testing (PITCO) and onsite commissioning of fire alarm and life safety systems. Perform system programming, troubleshooting, and technical support. Assist in system design, including shop drawings, calculations, and code-compliant deliverables. Conduct site surveys, produce reports, and develop takeoffs and bill of materials. Support project execution, scheduling, documentation, and issue resolution. Provide training, maintain project records and as-builts, and support project closeout activities. Qualifications for the
Electrical Engineer:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Fire Protection, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) with 2+ years of experience. Willing to obtain
NICET II
certification in fire detection and alarm systems. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Knowledge of fire alarm systems, including programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Understanding of NFPA codes and building regulations (IBC, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, NFPA 70). Experience with system design tools such as AutoCAD and Revit. Compensation for the

Salary Range:
$96,000 - $120,000 •Depending on Experience•
