Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our facilities and maintenance operations. This pivotal role involves overseeing the entire engineering department, ensuring the seamless functioning of manufacturing and industrial systems, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional management capabilities, technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, and a proactive approach to facilities management. As Chief Engineer, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, supervise maintenance teams, and coordinate complex projects to support our operational excellence. Duties Lead and manage all aspects of facilities maintenance, including HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure (high and low voltage), mechanical equipment, and industrial machinery. Oversee the development and implementation of maintenance management strategies utilizing CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to optimize asset performance. Supervise maintenance teams, providing leadership, training, and guidance to ensure safety standards and operational efficiency are maintained at all times. Review schematics, technical drawings, and electrical/mechanical diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively and plan repairs or upgrades. Manage projects related to facilities upgrades, equipment installation, or process improvements with a focus on safety, quality, and timeline adherence. Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to high voltage, low voltage systems, and industrial maintenance procedures. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and diagnostics to identify faults accurately. Coordinate with cross-functional teams in manufacturing environments to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and system modifications using CMMS software. Foster a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement within the engineering team. Qualifications Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance leadership roles. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems (including high voltage and low voltage), mechanical systems, schematics, and industrial equipment. Strong background in maintenance management practices within manufacturing or industrial settings. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in automation processes. Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order tracking and asset management. Demonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead diverse teams effectively. Excellent project management skills with a focus on safety compliance and quality standards. Proficiency in reading technical schematics and electrical diagrams; experience with ohmmeters essential. Fluency in English required for effective communication across teams; additional languages are a plus. Knowledge of facilities management best practices including HVAC system operation, electrical safety protocols, and industrial maintenance procedures.
