Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Controls Engineer III to design, program, troubleshoot, and support control systems across industries including building automation, data centers, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, oil/gas, and wastewater. This role involves PLC programming, HMI development, industrial networking, equipment integration, drawing updates, and technical troubleshooting. You will also work directly with customers, vendors, and internal teams while providing mentorship to junior engineers. Key Responsibilities Program PLCs and develop/update HMI graphics. Troubleshoot controls, hardware, and process issues. Configure IP addressing, VLANs, and industrial networks. Integrate equipment using Modbus, BACnet, and SNMP. Read controls wiring schematics and perform red-line updates. Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal teams to implement solutions. Support project specifications, scope, and technical documentation. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance. Work independently at customer job sites with minimal supervision. Physical & Work Requirements Ability to work independently at customer job sites. Ability and willingness to travel as required, including internationally. Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to meet established safety, quality, and performance standards. Experience 3-7 years of controls engineering experience. Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or relevant field experience. PLC experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and/or Schneider preferred. Ignition, ControlLogix, and AutoCAD experience preferred. Advanced knowledge of VLANs and networking . Experience with Modbus, BACnet, and/or SNMP . Project management experience preferred. Ability to interpret controls schematics and technical specifications. Why Join Us? Pay:
$95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
