DESCRIPTION

Amazon Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Come work at Amazon! Key job responsibilities As a System Validation Hardware Engineer, you will be part of a team of experts working on the development of advanced Customer Terminal products. You will be responsible for managing the test and validation of PCBA-level hardware across various programs, reporting validation status and failures, and driving long-term test improvement initiatives. You will own or contribute to the following: Develop, execute, and maintain PCBA-level test and validation plans across multiple product programs Perform board bring-up, functional testing, and debug of modules and subsystems Report and track validation status, test results, and failure analysis across programs Consolidate test data from multiple sources and programs, and develop clear presentations and reports to communicate validation status, trends, and risks to stakeholders Drive root cause analysis on hardware failures and collaborate with design teams on corrective actions Design and improve automated test systems, test fixtures, and factory test solutions Support flow-down requirement definitions and generate test plans/procedures aligned to product specifications Identify trends in test data and drive long-term test process and coverage improvement initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, quality) to support the transition of designs to mass production Evaluate and validate high-speed digital and/or RF circuit performance at the board level Support signal and power integrity validation and correlation to simulation models

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with prototyping and implementation BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in high-speed digital design and/or RF designs 3+ years of experience in signal and power integrity design and analysis 3+ years of experience of mixed signal PCB layout designs 3+ years of experience in using schematic capture tool and PCB layout viewer 2+ years of experience board bring up and debugging in lab environment 2+ years of experience using lab equipment including soldering irons, hand-tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent Familiarity with analog electronics fundamentals (transistor, op-amps, filters, etc) Familiarity with DC power supply designs Familiarity with Hyperlynx Signal Integrity simulation tool Familiarity with EMI/EMC design mitigation Experience with Mentor Graphics or Cadence layout tools Previous work experience in a programming languages Proficiency in developing lab test programs for instrument control Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
