Signal Integrity Engineer Location:
Vancouver, Washington Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We have design, sales, and manufacturing locations globally and are currently seeking a Signal Integrity Engineer to join our team located in Vancouver, WA. The SI Engineer would be part of an established team of dedicated signal integrity engineers and engineers of other disciplines who are responsible for both component development as well as customer support on new product introduction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with providing solutions to customers across a wide range of sectors with their high-speed data transmission requirements. Identify and resolve signal Integrity issues in PCB layout, and directing layout for customers. Design, simulation, characterization, and application of high-speed electrical connectors and cable-based interconnect. Supporting to the internal Sales Engineers to develop strategies for product break-in at existing and new accounts based on signal integrity and electrical engineering expertise Application of Circuit theory and high-speed digital transmission, PCB layout principles for high-speed digital design Collaborating on a multi-disciplinary team in the development of next generation Wilder high speed products
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Electrical Engineering or Physics Hands-on experience with frequency-domain and time-domain component and circuit characterization including understanding of test and calibration methods Experience with signal integrity measurements and debugging with TDR,VNA, pattern generators, error detectors and similar measurement equipment Understanding of electro-magnetic principles
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or Physics 2+ years of industry experience Experience in component design and application of high-speed interconnects into communications systems Experience with signal integrity and simulation/analysis tools such as Ansys HFSS and Designer, CST Microwave, HSPICE, MatLab, and ADS Amphenol Corporation is proud of our reputation as an excellent employer.
