About the Role The Engineer - Electrification designs functional, reliable, and cost-effective high-voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles. This role supports engineering analysis, electrical design, and development of systems and subsystems for both existing and new vehicles. Work is performed under close supervision, with a focus on supporting senior engineers and contributing to projects of limited complexity. Responsibilities Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks according to established engineering standards and processes Support senior engineers in preparing plans, designs, computation methods, and reports Assist with projects of limited complexity in a support capacity Design electrical parts and components to meet parameters and specifications, incorporating quality, cost, reliability, and manufacturability Support basic calculations, analysis, and investigations aligned with engineering standards Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, or production builds, including issue resolution in manufacturing Process engineering changes through change notices, proposals, and creation of documentation Collaborate with internal engineering teams, business support functions, and external suppliers as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Maintain regular attendance Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Minimum of 2 years of electrification experience Preferred Skills 5-10 years of electrification experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Familiarity with programming languages and controls software Knowledge of Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocols Automotive high-voltage training or certifications Familiarity with power electronics and electric machines Knowledge of energy storage systems
