Job Description

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. Our Electrical Engineers provide technical expertise in all aspects of design, development, testing, troubleshooting, field support and installation of specified equipment as needed. It is a foundational-level engineering role with responsibility to effectively complete assigned objectives by creatively applying mentored guidance, core JOA solutions, and aligned industry and academic knowledge alike towards innovative solutions among tactical design, testing, and problem-solving initiatives.
Description of Essential Duties:
Provides services relating to the successful installation, start up and commissioning of converting equipment, traveling to the customer location, as required. Performs product testing (powering up and check-out function) and troubleshooting to certify converting equipment for customer acceptance. Contributes to the design and layout of converting equipment electrical components and systems. Assess electrical component requirements and creation of BOM's. Create and implement electric component control programs to provide for the proper function of PLC, HMI, motion, and message display. Assists with the coordination of assembly operations during equipment construction.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related discipline; or equivalent academic and practical experience. Strong analytic skills to troubleshoot equipment/processes and implement solutions Ability to effectively utilize complex software for design, problem solving, and documentation. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate among a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work a full day on a computer Ability to lift and move objects up to twenty-five pounds in weight Ability to use hand tools and monitoring/testing equipment Ability to occasionally climb a ladder and maneuver into tight spaces Ability to work area in an environment that is loud and without air conditioning during machine commissioning and/or problem-solving Ability to wear personal protective equipment (safety shoes, glasses, ear protection) Must travel for company business up to (~20%) international and domestic travel
