Job Description
Key Responsibilities Design & Drafting Create and modify scaled 2D drawings and 3D models for electrical substations. Develop physical design packages, including: Foundation Layouts Grounding Layouts Conduit Layouts Switchgear Assembly Layouts Substation Layouts Switch House Layouts Electrical Bus Design Utilize AutoCAD , Autodesk 3D Inventor , Autodesk Map 3D (P4A) , or SDS Inventor for drafting and modeling. Prepare engineering specifications and material requirements. Project Coordination Transmit drawing packages using the Transmission Engineering job transmittal program . Coordinate with engineers, field services, construction teams, and project management. Collaborate with manufacturers, vendors, and committees to resolve equipment and material concerns. Participate in project site visits, including: Pre-construction meetings Construction phases Post-construction reviews Operational Support Support OPCO Substation Construction, Field Services, Project Management, and Maintenance teams. Ensure all design work aligns with standards and safety practices.
