Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to support the design and development of electrical systems for industrial equipment and automation systems. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed schematics, wiring layouts, and creating precise integrated electrical designs while supporting implementation within 3D mechanical assemblies. Your expertise will help ensure the successful development of electrical systems that meet project specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects while utilizing cutting-edge CAD and design tools in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Electrical Design & Documentation Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using SolidWorks Electrical Create single-line diagrams and interconnection diagrams Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) 3 D Integration Route wiring, cables, and harnesses in 3D within SolidWorks assemblies (as applicable) Collaborate with mechanical engineers for fit and manufacturability System & Product Support Translate requirements into production-ready electrical designs Support prototyping, debugging, and design revisions Process engineering change orders (ECOs) Cross Site Collaboration & Travel Periodic travel to multiple company and customer sites Work with engineering and manufacturing teams across locations to support design development and implementation Participate in design reviews, integration activities, and build support as needed Communicate design updates and changes across teams to ensure alignment Travel up to 25 % Standards & Compliance Ensure designs meet NEC, UL, and IEC standards Maintain component libraries and templates
Qualifications Required:
Proven experience 2 to 7+ years in electrical engineering or electrical drafting with a strong portfolio of system design projects. Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical schematics. AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Creo or similar CAD software, experience with Bluebeam and NavisWorks is a plus. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and manufacturing. Understanding of electrical components and industrial systems
Preferred:
Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical wiring techniques, PCB design processes, and construction/industrial systems. Ability to interpret technical drawings especially with 3D wire or harness design Experience with automation, robotics or industrial equipment Experience with PDM/PLM systems (SolidWorks PDM) Join us as an Electrical Designer to shape innovative solutions that power the future!
