Come Build with the Champion Electric Team! Champion Electric Inc. is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented BIM Detailer to join our team! In this role, you'll turn electrical construction designs into accurate 3D models, installation drawings, prefab assemblies, and jobsite layouts. Working closely with our Project Managers, Field Superintendents, Forepersons, and Prefab team, you'll help ensure projects are coordinated, efficient, and ready for installation. What You'll Do:

Develop accurate 3D electrical models and installation drawings using contract documents, specifications, RFIs, and project revisions. Detail underground and overhead electrical systems, including conduit routing, duct banks, racks, supports, sleeves, and penetrations. Verify conduit routing, clearances, and installation requirements in accordance with NEC and project standards. Participate in MEP coordination, perform clash detection, and assist with resolving design and constructability conflicts. Coordinate with project management and field teams on installation requirements, schedules, and changes. Prepare prefab assembly drawings, cut sheets, material lists, and model-based quantities. Perform jobsite layout using Trimble robotic total stations and incorporate field measurements and as-built information into models. Maintain accurate drawings, project documentation, and model standards. Follow company safety policies, Cal/OSHA requirements, and jobsite safety procedures. Required Qualifications College degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Drafting/Design Technology, Architecture, or a related field; OR at least five years of relevant electrical BIM/VDC, drafting, or electrical construction experience. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD. Ability to read and interpret electrical, architectural, structural, and civil drawings. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Valid California driver's license and clean driving record. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Trimble robotic total stations or Trimble Field Link. Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks, Trimble SysQue, eVolve Electrical, or Autodesk Construction Cloud (BIM 360). Experience with Procore or Bluebeam. Working knowledge of the NEC and electrical construction methods, including underground and overhead conduit installation. Previous electrical field experience as an Apprentice or Journeyperson.
