Job Title:
Kitchen & Bath Design Technician About Us Established in 1996, we are a California company specializing in high-end kitchen and bath design located on the Monterey Peninsula. With 30 years of experience, we've built a strong reputation on quality craftsmanship, exceptional customer service, and innovative solutions. We deliver top-notch remodeling experiences for discerning homeowners, architects, and builders, specializing in all aspects of home renovation including kitchens, baths, windows, doors, flooring, pergolas, and outdoor kitchens. The Role As a Kitchen & Bath Design Technician, you'll provide critical technical and administrative support to our design team. This behind-the-scenes role focuses on CAD drafting, pricing, vendor order management, and ensuring accuracy throughout the design and ordering process. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves the technical side of design and wants to work in a collaborative, detail-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Create detailed floor plans, elevations, and cabinetry specifications using AutoCAD Develop appliance, plumbing, and lighting specifications and renderings with SketchUp Generate accurate pricing using various vendor software programs Manage the vendor order check process to ensure accuracy and completeness Review and verify orders for correctness before submission Coordinate with designers to refine technical drawings and specifications Maintain organized project files and documentation Support designers with product research and technical problem-solving Communicate with vendors regarding specifications, lead times, and order status Required Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in kitchen and bath design, drafting, or related technical role Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) Solid understanding of construction methods and mechanical drawings related to kitchen and bath design Knowledge of custom cabinetry construction and specifications Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent math skills and ability to read construction drawings and appliance/plumbing specifications Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in SketchUp or other rendering software Experience with vendor ordering systems and pricing software Associate's or bachelor's degree in interior design, drafting, or related field Previous experience in a design support or technical role Knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements What We're Looking For We want a team player with a positive, can-do attitude who thrives on accuracy and organization.
