Position Offered By No Fee Agency As a Mechanical Designer, you will support the overall design and development of an aviation solution that encompasses avionics, electrical, mechanical, and mission specific systems to meet customer requirements. Focus would be designing the mechanical solution through design, development, integration, and installation of your solution, while addressing potential design changes to meet mission requirements. The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: ? Participating in the design and creation of virtual solid models of new products, modifications and upgrades to existing designs, from detailed component design to full assembly. ? Interface as necessary with Engineering to document and detail design requirements, specifications and schedules, and design for manufacturability, reliability and maintainability applying MIL-SPEC, FAA and best commercial practices. ? Create 3-D CAD models for individual components, systems and assemblies, while generating tolerance stack up analysis, mass properties, etc., on component assemblies to ensure proper fit and function. ? Utilize industry standard manufacturing processes as a design requirement, document manufacturing required processes, tooling and fixtures, create, maintain and release design documentation and manufacturing documentation as necessary for the development of the Technical Data Package (TDP), support of manufacturing, engineering analysis and technician teams. ? Participate in multi-disciplinary, integrated project teams, representing the Design Group for team activities and decisions. ? Effectively communicate progress on projects to management, while ensuring that all work is done in compliance with Quality Requirements, AS9100, company policies, procedures, goals and objectives. ? Other tasks related to the position may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

? 8+ years design experience in the aviation industry ? Proficient in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and other design and analysis tools; MS PowerPoint, Excel and/or other MS applications ? Organized self-starter, capable of breaking down complex problems into traceable tasks and concisely communicating project status; Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team environment ? Potential travel to CONUS (Continental US) and OCONUS (Outside Continental US) locations (Alaska, Hawaii, UK and EUROPE) ?

Potential Work Environments and Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work outside and on top of aircraft.
• Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
• Have a valid, US Passport, or ability to obtain a US Passport ?

? Desigen experience in aviation structural assembly ? Experience in aerospace engineering design in both Military and Civil aviation ? Knowledge of manufacturing processes and test instrumentation ?
