An Electrical Designer designs and creates layout for the electrical systems that power lighting, security, telephone and sound in buildings; creates wiring diagrams, develops specifications for electrical systems to meet code requirements. Designs and create layout of the printed circuit boards that are components of most electronic equipment.
We are seeking a technically skilled electrical design professional to support planning, site evaluations, analytical design, and construction documentation across a diverse portfolio of projects. Our team is looking for someone who can contribute to electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, power systems, lighting systems, protection and controls, and site and facility design while maintaining quality, accuracy, and strong project coordination.
Responsibilities:
Develop electrical designs, drawings, schematics, grid plan layouts, and related construction documentation for a variety of project types. Perform planning, site evaluations, analytical design work, report preparation, and proposal support as part of a project team. Execute design changes, redlines, mark-ups, and drawing revisions while maintaining clear organization of project files and revisions. Interpret codes, specifications, reports, drawings, and test results to support design decisions, quality assurance, and project coordination.
Required:
7+ years of related electrical design/detailing experience with a Bachelor's in drafting technology or related field OR 8+ years with an Associate Degree OR 9+ years of progressive electrical detailing/design experience with High School diploma Advanced AutoCAD experience Advanced MicroStation experience Strong Excel skills Experience with 2D and 3D engineering design/drafting Experience creating and modifying electrical engineering drawings Electrical schematics Must be available for an on-site role in Atlanta, Georgia.
