Zachry Engineering Corporation is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer III to support the design and development of electrical systems for industrial, power generation, and infrastructure projects. This person will be working out of our Downers Grove, IL office The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical design deliverables, developing intelligent 3D models utilizing AVEVA E3D/PDMS, and coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will possess strong electrical design experience, advanced 3D modeling capabilities, and a proven track record supporting large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects. Required Qualifications Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design Technology, Electrical Technology, or related technical discipline; or equivalent relevant experience. Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA, IEEE, and NEMA standards. Experience with SmartPlant tools or AutoCAD Electrical. Exposure to substation and utility electrical design. Experience supporting projects through construction and startup phases. Knowledge of laser scanning and point cloud integration within AVEVA environments. Produce electrical design deliverables including:

• Electrical equipment layouts
• Cable tray layouts
• Conduit routing drawings
• Below grade ductbank drawings
• Grounding and lightning protection plans
• Indoor and outdoor lighting plans
• Electrical installation details
• Area classification drawings
• Schematic and Wiring drawings
• One-Line drawings Coordinate electrical designs with civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and instrumentation disciplines within the 3D model environment.

Perform clash detection reviews and support model coordination efforts. Generate and maintain bill of materials (BOMs) and equipment lists. Support design reviews, constructability reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings. Ensure designs comply with project specifications, client requirements, and applicable industry codes and standards. Incorporate engineering markups and design changes into project deliverables. Review vendor documents and integrate supplier information into project designs.
