Job Description

Ergonomic Partners designs and builds robotic automation systems and automated cranes for manufacturing. We are adding a Crane Controls Electrical Designer to support our growing crane-controls work. In this role you will produce electrical schematics, panel designs, and bills of materials for our standard bridge crane control systems. You will work under senior controls engineer design direction and have the opportunity to grow your skillset within our cabinet shop. This is a design and execute role. Our senior engineer defines conceptual design and selects the technology and components; you turn that direction into clean, accurate, release-ready drawings and parts lists.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create control-panel schematics and wiring diagrams in SolidWorks Electrical from senior engineer concepts and design guidelines.
  • Develop and release bills of materials; generate and place component orders.
  • Apply
NEC, NFPA
79, and UL 508A guidelines to panel and schematic design.
  • Support our in-house, UL-listed panel shop with design-related inquiries.
  • Work with cabinet shop on projects and potential growth into coordination of work as crane volume scales.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Electrical design or drafting experience in industrial controls or control panels.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical (or comparable ECAD such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN).
  • Ability to read and produce control schematics independently.
  • Working familiarity with NEC and UL 508A panel-design standards.
  • Detail-oriented and methodical, with strong accuracy in BOMs and component procurement.
PREFERRED / A PLUS
  • Bridge crane or material-handling industry experience.
  • Cabinet- or panel-build background.
  • Basic PLC familiarity.
We are an equal opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
