We are now going to the market under one bold new brand, Echo Electric. We have a great opportunity for a Controls Engineer to join our growing team! You would be responsible for maintaining, communicating, and applying a high level of technical knowledge. This position provides opportunities to design, specify, program, test, and quality check assigned projects. In addition, the Controls Engineer will work closely with associates, customers, and manufacturing partners. Our services include Control Engineering, Control Panel Building, Sub-Assemblies, Enclosure Modifications, Wire Harnessing, and Switchboard Assembly. Position must report from our Normal, IL branch location. We're looking for an engineer who: Create schematics, layouts, system designs and/or drawings for assigned projects.
Produces a bill of materials for assigned projects.
As required, programs products and systems including but not limited to PLCs, HMIs, Sensors, Safety, SCADA, Wireless, Industrial Networking, and VFDs.
As requested, assists with the preparation of estimates and quotations.
Design prototypes, proof of concepts, and provide technical assistance on projects.
Ability to conduct startups, commissioning, and debugging of customer's systems including on the job site.
As requested, assists with project schedules and coordination.
Assist with developing and assembling documentation for internal and external needs.
Maintain ongoing knowledge and understanding of our products, solutions, and services.
Ability to work with an urgency to respond and prepare accurate, detailed information.
Ability to gain customer interest in additional solutions and services.
Assist in customer communications and project follow-up to ensure customers are being serviced.
Provides engineering guidance to Assemblers to ensure successful production of projects.
