They are looking to add VDC Coordinators to support modeling, coordination, and installation planning efforts on active projects. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants to develop hands-on experience in BIM and electrical construction. Position Overview The VDC BIM Coordinator will support the development of detailed electrical models and coordination drawings used for installation and prefabrication. This role works closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and alignment across trades. Key Responsibilities Develop 2D and 3D electrical models including conduit, cable tray, and equipment layouts Support BIM coordination efforts across multiple trades Perform clash detection and assist in resolving coordination issues Interpret construction drawings and project specifications Assist with creation of shop drawings and prefabrication layouts Collaborate with project teams to improve installation efficiency and reduce rework Maintain and update models throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications 0 to 2 years of experience in electrical construction, BIM, or related field Experience in 2D and 3D electrical models including conduit, cable tray, and equipment layouts Basic experience with Revit, AutoCAD, or similar modeling tools Familiarity with construction drawings and blueprints Understanding of electrical systems or installation methods preferred Exposure to Navisworks or clash detection is a plus Knowledge of electrical code is helpful but not required Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
