Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on individual who has a genuine interest in technology and innovation. The successful candidate will be a key member of the control and installation team, implementing creative and cutting-edge automation solutions. The person filling this role should be well versed in HMI development utilizing server/client applications, have diverse PLC programming skills and be up to speed with the latest industrial technologies.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the design, development, and installation of system integration solutions Develop and test HMI and PLC applications Execute projects at customer's facilities including managing sub-contractors, interfacing with clients, testing and debugging of designed systems Provide technical support to customer's and other team members Provide on-site training to technicians and operators. Prepare technical documentation for projects. Maintain regular/frequent contact with clients/vendors/staff
Competencies:
College diploma/university technical degree or equivalent job experience Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the automation field In depth HMI programming
Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley PLC/PAC programming experience needed with full understanding of ladder logic programming, structured-text and sequential function blocks.
Experience with Ethernet/IP Experience with Device Net, DH+ and RIO communication beneficial but not essential Programing with Wonderware and Inductive Automation beneficial but not essential Exposure to
SCADA/MES
systems Start-up and troubleshooting experience Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Familiarity with AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical beneficial but not essential Strong analytical problem solving & technical skills Strong interpersonal skills Adept with Microsoft Office suite of software including Visio and Project Good time management Available for North America/International travel (up to 50% travel)
