KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

D Modeling:

Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.

Layout Assistance:

Facilitate communication between field and BIM Technicians by reviewing field markups and ensuring all the information needed for modeling is being captured.

Model Coordination:

Integrating design information from various disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical, etc.) into the 3D model.

Clash Detection:

Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts or clashes between different building components using clash detection tools.

Constructability Reviews:

Evaluating the feasibility of construction based on the 3D model and providing feedback to improve the design.

Construction Documentation:

Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations from the 3D model to support construction planning and execution.

Collaboration:

Working closely with VDC project managers, engineers, supers and construction PMs to ensure alignment between digital designs and on-site realities.

Supporting Project Teams:

Providing 3D visualizations, clash reports, and other information to aid decision-making and project execution.

Travel:

About 50% of time traveling, with the possibility of extended periods of time stationed at a job site.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Experience using Navisworks. Sound understanding of electrical construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to analyze and interpret electrical design information. Problem-solving skills to address clashes and constructability issues. Attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to manage single tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Electrical construction experience. Understanding of BIM principles and workflows desired. Experience with the use of 3D modeling software.
